PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Youth Etiquette and Social Skills Program is a series of eight workshops held 1 to 2 hours per week three times per year. Workshops and sessions for girls and boys will be held separately, with one or two sessions conducted together to reinforce appropriate interaction. This program content is similar for both groups, but suitable topics will be presented where necessary. Parental Involvement – Parents will be invited to attend and participate in several of the activities as deemed appropriate. Parental commitment to and participation in the program will be stressed as an asset to the teens’ progress and success in this program.
OBJECTIVESThe DOT Organization will:
Provide qualified personnel to advise and mentor youth through positive example and structured group activities.
Educate teens on the advantages and disadvantages of first impressions.
Provide workshop opportunities for practice and reinforcement of newly developed skills.
Engage youth in social settings that require appropriate etiquette and social skills.
