Pregnancy Prevention

OBJECTIVES

The DOT Organization will:

• Provide foundation, definition, and methods to maintain abstinence in relationships.

• Provide qualified facilitators to advise, counsel, and mentor youth, formally and informally, through a series of workshops and seminars on adolescent sexual behavior and contraceptive use.

• Identify and reinforce strong characteristics needed to resist partner and peer pressure.

• Educate youth on the educational, social, medical, and economic consequences that pregnancies bring to teen parents and their children.

• Conduct development workshop to build on the assets and strengths of teens by assisting them in setting goals, completing school, and planning their future.

• Strengthen bonds between teens and family members by providing opportunities for equal participation in applicable sessions, and demonstrations of support, love, and caring.
